Professional and hard working
I chose Modern Energy because of the straightforward and honest presentation by the company president. I wasn't promised pie in the sky energy production or overly optimistic break even estimates. The pros and cons of solar power were presented fairly. Having done a lot of research before contacting the company I appreciated their knowledge of the financing, paperwork and required interaction with the electric company. I was very happy with the work and the follow up. I would highly recommend Modern Energy to anyone considering a solar power project.

Great Advice and Beautiful Installation
We were very happy in our experience throughout the whole process. Modern Energy handled all of the communication along the way from our HOA to the final connection order with AEP. Our array looks beautiful and we owe it to the team at Modern Energy.

Modern Energy - great choice!
Johnathan and his team installed a 5.1kW system for us in December of 2014. They were a pleasure to work with and they devoted a considerable amount of time to review options and get the right system installed. I highly recommend them for anyone considering a solar installation.

Great Experience!
We had a great experience with Johnathan and his team at Modern Energy. They designed and installed a 24 panel, 6.2 kW, solar system for us and it all went very smoothly. Their bid was competitively priced but beyond that it was really a pleasure to work with people that cared about us and were passionate about what they were doing. The system's performance has exceeded my expectations and will have a shorter payoff than I expected.

Oak Top Farm
Modern Energy installed a 17KW, 70 panel array on a farm building in February on 2016. <br /><br />We power the house, barn, electric utility vehicle, electric Chevy Volt, and many farm tools. <br /><br />We are on grid and have produced more than we use. The installation went smoothly and the panels have performed better than expected. We have not had any problems with the system. <br /><br />I highly recommend anyone interested to install solar while the tax incentives last.

Residential Solar: Easier and More Affordable Than You Think
Start to finish, Modern Energy has been great! Jonathan worked hard to design a custom system to meet my needs. Price was right in line with his competitors, but used the latest tech, unlike them. Jonathan and his crew were responsive and respectful in all that they did. I recommend for anyone who is interested to definitely check Modern Energy out. It's more affordable than you might think!

Overall a great experience
We had modern energy install a 9.6kW system in 2016. It was as smooth a process as I could imagine. The owner of modern energy, Johnathan, came by several times to go over options and design and made excellent recommendations. The install went smoothly, even though they worked around some weather issues. After installation, there was a problem with the interface with the internet and Johnathan had to return to replace a bad component. He did not stop until it was working properly. Excellent service.

Modern Energy
Overall process was smooth - no pressure. All my questions were answered, and I had a lot of questions. We went over multiple options with panel brands and sizes, and found what worked best for my budget and what would ft on my roof. I also had the chance to talk to the lead electrician which was nice, and with the 3rd party structural inspector.

Modern Energy is a solid choice
We had Modern Energy install solar panels on our house about 7 months ago. Their prices were right in line with other quotes we got for the job. They were very willing to work with us during the different steps of the process. They also provided pictures of the proposed design that I used to convince my neighbors and home owners' association that the panels would be unobtrusive. In the months after the job was complete, Modern Energy has also answered questions I've had. I feel like they care about their customers after the project has been completed. Many of my friends have been interested in solar and I recommend they talk to Modern Energy, even in the decision-making process, because then they can get all the facts and costs as they are deciding.
