When I make a big purchase, I do my homework. I had quotes for three solar leases and three quotes to buy. I sat down with a lot of salesmen, but I got to sit down with the owner of Ocean Solar, and that is what sold me. Bill was very knowledgeable in all aspects of the array he was installing on my house. He took care of the necessary approvals, got us on the right track with financing and even helped us get set up for selling the SRECs. A few months in, our wifi enabled inverter stopped talking to the internet. Bill was at my house the next day to troubleshoot. In the end, it was a bad part. Bill had a replacement installed within days and we were back online. (We were still collecting energy the whole time). After a recent tropical storm, our power went out for the first time since the panels were turned on. I was able to flip a switch and plug into the inverters to run my refrigerator with the afternoon sunshine. I've had two friends get solar arrays from Bill and we are all happy customers. Bill convinced me to "Own Your Solar" and two and a half years later, I am just as happy as the day my first SREC check came in the mail!

It was just by chance I was directed to Billy from Generac Generators. What I like most about his company is you deal with him. He is more than happy to answer any questions and helpful in many ways. Besides that he is very punctual and thorough. I did not bother getting any other quotes because I new from past experiences having the owner involved with all phases of the project and getting back to me very quickly whenever I needed info is more valuable than maybe saving a few dollars. I even trusted him so much he did the job without me or anyone else being present. So to say the least I'm glad I did and everything turned out well. He is highly recommended !!

We had our solar panels installed by Ocean Solar exactly 1 year ago in June 2019. We could't be happier. Bill Driscoll came personally and evaluated our property to determine its appropriateness, explained the process, and gave us an estimate (which was exactly accurate). His team came in and expertly installed our panels, connected them to our internet (so we can monitor them) and made all the arrangements with the power company and authorities. They work perfectly. Our electric bill is trivial now. They even produce enough power on cloudy days that we're often producing more than we're consuming. My only regret is that we didn't buy more panels (there was no place to put them). The tax credit we got more than completely covered our 2019 tax bill. It was a good investment.

We looked at four different solar panel companies over three months. We met Bill on our third meeting. I was ready to sign then but had one more appointment left, so we waited. Shortly after our follow-up meeting with ocean he had the install scheduled which was way faster and then any other and we were on the grid not long after. Would highly recommend this company. Ocean Solar explained the entire process, did what they promised to do on time and worked with our HOA to install a great system. After two years everything worked great from day one and I am experiencing expected pay back of 5 years.

I am writing this review after using my solar system for over 6 months (including summer months). First, I would like to thanks Bill for his knowledge and patience, I received a lots of quotes from 8-10 different companies and after doing my own research and comparing prices and hardware i ended up picking Ocean Solar for my solar investment. No one was able to beat the hardware and price he quoted me. My system is made up of 18 LG 335W panels with Emphase IQ7 microinverters and an IQ Envoy all connected to the Enlinghten Software for monitoring production and consumption, I am able to see how much each panel produces and how much electricity my household is consuming, which is awesome! After 6 months i am happy to tell that my system is averaging me 30 bucks a month (during summer weather) no more $250 plus a month electric bill for summers, and i am 100% sure during colder weather my bill will be around $6 from ACE, this is the best investment i have made, and now my home value has increased since we own the system; plus my system is predicted to produce during a year around 9MWh which equals $1800 in SREC money. I calculated i will break even around four and half years and then its just passive income and almost no electric bill. Thank you Bill and your team for a great product. Anyone thinking on going solar please contact Bill, you won't be disappointed.

One of the best investments me and my husband made. Did get estimates, however, Ocean Solar, was selected due Bill's knowledge and experience. We have two systems ground mount for our house and roof mount for my husband's work garage. You can't go wrong! Get Solar be Green!

Ocean Solar's proprietor, Bill Driscoll, is a hard-working professional who got the job done and went out of his way to patiently answer all of my questions (and I probably broke the record for number of questions asked). He took care of all the paperwork and approvals so all I had to do was sign a few papers, stop paying electric bills, and earn around $2,000 trading SRECs last year at the site he recommended, NJSREC.com. I wish I could post a picture of our ground array; it's beautiful, with the perfect 180-degree orientation and 23-degree elevation. And as an added bonus, it also doubles as a privacy fence. Bill and his team were able to tunnel under our blacktop driveway instead of digging it out and filling it back in. With the 30% federal tax credit, no more electric bills and SREC income, going solar (purchasing, not leasing) is a no-brainer and will pay for itself in about 4-5 years. And after my experience with Bill, contracting with him is a no-brainer too!

Bill made the process easy! Lots of forms and inspections/approvals, and I didn't have to worry. He has a lot of patience, too!

We have been thinking about solar for several years. Each time someone came out to give us a sales pitch we felt like they were selling snake oil. Fast forward 3 years to Bill from Ocean solar. He came explained what he would do. He listened to us. We still didn't jump on this right away. Bill checked with us every couple on weeks, no pressure just keeping in touch. Almost 3 years since the system was installed by Bill. I'm a happy camper. Glad I went with Bill. (I did shop around .. 5 contenders to choose from). Dealing with Bill was a pleasure on all fronts. From proposal to installation and post-install support. Always quick to respond to any e-mail/voice message/text message. Never left me hanging. Being a total novice to solar, I sure did have a lot of questions before, during, and after install. He'd explain in detail for me even seemingly the most obvious aspect of the project. Wish all contractors were like Bill.

First I would like to start out by saying that solar is absolutely worth having. I have had my panels up for nearly a year now and haven’t had an electric bill (besides the $4.99 ACE service charge) since the install. Ocean Solar did an amazing job on the install. Bill was extremely helpful through the entire process and made sure everything was set up exactly how I wanted it. I spoke with several large companies who weren’t able to answer my questions and actually had a few that told me that I couldn’t get 100% offset on my electric bill. Ocean Solar installed and had my panels up and running with AC electric in under a month which is incredible. After the install, I had several questions about the SREC set up and registration and Bill (owner of Ocean Solar) answered my questions via e mail immediately and helped me through the process. Lastly, I just filed my taxes with the 30% solar rebate and it was as easy as printing the form and sending it in with my taxes. I received my full refund this year in my income taxes. In my opinion through much research and speaking to several companies owning solar is absolutely the better option and using Ocean Solar is the smartest choice. A local company with local ownership who are willing to go out of their way to help you through the process is absolutely the best way to go. If you are looking to go solar or are on the fence about it contact Ocean Solar and speak with Bill about the benefits. He does not hassle you and is very straight forward.

Bill was great with answering every question, and can be reach by text, phone call, or email right away. Turned on my solar pannels Oct 2015 and haven't seen an electric bill (only conection fee which is less then $5 per month) I have been selling my srec each month. No maintance!!!

Bill was straightforward and honest from the beginning with pricing. I received several estimates from other companies with complicated purchase/lease programs. Nearly all seemed like snake oil salesman. Bill was no pressure when he gave me my estimate. Once we agreed to the contract, everything went smooth and on schedule. Ground mount came out great and we are ready to start paying back our investment with SRECs and monthly savings. Panels are made in America, not cheap Chinese stuff. Would highly recommend A+++++.

This was the only installer that had an answer for every question I asked. Mind you these weren't difficult questions. Basic questions about how many kwhs a system could produce, SRECs and basic information about inverters. The other companies I dealt with couldn't even answer basic questions about their own product. I dealt with Solar City, All Season Solar and one other installer I forget who now. I got every answer I needed from Ocean Solar. I even got help after with setting up my SREC account. Never does he not answer my emails. Install was accurate to what was promised as far as time frame. No hidden costs arose. He listened to my concerns about where I wanted wires run or my inverter located. Have had my system in place for over 18 months now and everything is running smoothly.

Bill handled every aspect of our ground mount solar installation, filed the necessary paperwork, coordinated installation, and even back-filled the trench himself, adding grass seed to the dirt. I would recommend Bill Driscoll and Ocean solar to anyone interested in purchasing a solar panel system. I am very happy with the design work and service that they provide. The installation was done in a timely and efficient manner and the design for the panels for my roof not only look great, but generates more power for 3/4 of the price I was quoted by a national solar company. I really appreciate the fact that I can ask and get answers to any questions directly from Bill. The system was installed in December and is working better than I expected even with the reduced winter daylight. As the days get longer I am looking forward to generating increasing solar Kilowatts and and selling SREC's.

We have had solar at our home since 2007; the original installer left the business after a few years and left us with a system vulnerable to squirrels, who chewed through the wires and shorted out the system. We found a second company who told us half our panels weren't usable and disconnected one of our inverters since we didn't need it anymore; we now had only half the power generated than we originally had. They supposedly installed squirrel-proofing, but two years later squirrels shorted out the system again. Trying to locate the company, we discovered they had sold out to a nationwide organization that was getting terrible customer service reviews. Then we found Bill Driscoll and Ocean Solar and our problems were over! Bill discovered that the squirrel proofing had never been installed. He took down and tested all the panels, rewiring some until he got all of them working again. He got our second inverter out of storage and did an amazing amount of testing and research to get it working again. We now have a system that is like new, generating its full potential of solar power. And, yes, we have industrial-strength squirrel guards to protect it! The work was done on time, they came when they said they would, and did an admirable job cleaning up the work site.

Bill and his electricians were professional, prompt, clean and courteous. Their understanding of solar installations was beyond reproach as every question I asked was answered immediately and correctly. Follow up calls to Bill in regards to understanding SREC registration and trading were answered promptly with Bill actually returning to our home to walk me through the process. The installation was completed in TWO days, powered up effortlessly and has been providing us with free electricity since. I would highly recommend Ocean Solar to anyone who desires a professional, clean top notch job with absolutely no complaints.

Although AC Electric is very obstructive and OC rules hamper all improvements and developments, Ocean Solar (Bill) worked diligently and efficiently through every thing. We love our system and are very happy we chose Ocean Solar. It is performing better than estimated.

We were approached by a company who wanted us to lease solar panels for our home, after much research we decided not to go with leasing as there are so many reasons to own, as was pointed out to us from Ocean Solar. We found Ocean Solar in our research for American made panels. Bill Driscoll came over to our home a half hour after we calling inquiring about the panels! We knew this was a good start! We installed 2 free standing solar arrays, plus a roof array. Bill and his crew at Ocean Solar were both professional and knowledgeable walking us through our MANY questions. I worked with Bill for four properties he did of mine. The largest was a 168Kw storage facility in Burleigh, NJ. He was straight forward, honest, and completed the work on-time.
