Turns out they are both part of the Pacific Energy company. After checking another company we selected Pacific Energy and are completely satisfied. After getting increasingly higher power bills we decided to get solar for our home, our friends recommended that we contact Sean, he came out to the house the next day and looked over the entire project we ended up getting 18 panels and a Tesla Powerwall! The process was fast and easy; the entire staff was really on top of everything throughout the entire process! Very Positive Experience!

Simply Superb! From the first contact with Jana in the office to the final steps with HECO this was an exceptional experience. Sean, our sales rep, immediately contacted us and listened to our needs and then after thoughtful review, and a prompt visit to the house, recommend the right setup for our needs. From there, the experience continued to get better. Clear, concise communication through the often times, slow and frustrating process of county and HECO approvals showed how they are clearly at the top of their game. Everything just clicked. Once approved, the next phase began. Once again, top class. Install date was set, prior to the install a tech came out and surveyed the property once again to make sure all details were to our liking and that they would arrive prepared for the install. That day came without a flaw. The Install manager was communicative, and effective! installation of 17 panels and a Tesla Battery were flawless, NO time was wasted & respect was shown for their presence in our space. They again, excelled at their part. Electrical installation came two days later, and after experiencing all of the above, I did not expect them to outshine themselves, but they did. The team was again, professional, courteous and simply did a stellar job at integrating the existing 34 panel system. the final install required some on the fly adjustments and creativity (our fault) and they were able to install a seamless and gorgeous install of all components needed on a single wall. Final inspections came and went without a hitch (of course) and the system is now cranking out sun power, enough to power the entire house and out cars (EV) with extra to spare, just a we requested. It is a thing of beauty, the feeling one gets when a) they harness the sun for all their power needs and more importantly b) they will never have to pay MECO another dime ;) Thank you for reading all of this, and please just know This IS the company to go with on MAUI. Pacific Energy is so far ahead in the PV energy space. They have a business practice to get your system designed, approved, permitted, installed and close-out in record time. My experience with service and execution was better than my expectation. I had a very large system (91 panels) installed and they completed the entire system within 4 days! It passed inspection with no corrections. Their process to navigate this process is the best experience for a consumer. Let them do it and just write the check. Oh, and the products (SunPower panels and Solar Edge inverters) are the best in the market place with the best warranty and technology...hands down. Highly recommend Pacific Energy for Maui solar PV !!

My electric bill was out of control, got to the point I would not run the A/C, and was chasing around the house turning off switches. I projected a first month bill of $800+. Pacific Energy provided me a system that was on time, at the specified cost, and with tax benefits, at both the Federal and State levels. System installed in 2 weeks. First MECO bill was $26. That is the minimum charge by the electric company.

After I bought my house, my realtor gave me two recommendations for solar installers. I chose Daryl because he seemed forthright and up front. I was not disappointed. He did excellent work and did it on time. He responded quickly to my communications. I am extremely happy with my new solar power system.

Daryl stood out early when I began searching for a local PV installer. His friendly honesty, willingness to answer all of my many questions and scenarios in a timely fashion, documentation and excellent graphical modeling of his proposal all exceeded everyone else I contacted in the industry. His proposal came first, was the strongest to meet my needs, came organized with a realistic annual production model and attractive graphics of my proposed panel layout. He even graphically modeled my equipment rack with batteries. Few people, even fewer contractors, can meet my level of attention to detail. Daryl exceeded my expectations in every way. He used the highest quality products, used the best installation techniques, took great care of my existing masonry tile roofing, and skirted all of my panels nicely to meet local HOA requirements and then some. Speaking of the HOA, he navigated their strict requirements with ease. I never had to get involved. He is one of Maui's authorized Tesla dealers and I went with a Tesla PowerWall backup which operates flawlessly and looks incredible. When the install was complete Daryl gave me everything I needed to register my panels for their extended warranty. Even with the install complete he answers questions quickly and remains engaged in the operation and production of the system. During the bid process, before I selected Pacific Energy, one of the largest installers on Maui told me I'd need to place a deposit in order to have any of my questions answered or to have my proposed layout modeled, not so with Daryl. At least 3 of my neighbors are looking to have Daryl do projects on their homes, both new installs and existing system upgrades.

Daryl is a pleasure to work with, honest quote, comes in at price quoted. Extremely careful with ladders against the roof & left the protection in place for next service.

My family was very unsure about investing in Solar as my retirement was imminent and knee replacement surgery was a couple of weeks away in Honolulu. Daryl Hansen is the owner/operator of Pacific Energy located in Kihei, HI. My whole experience was very satisfactory starting with the sales proposal through the installation and post-installation follow up. His proposal offered five more panels than a competitor's proposal for the same price. Installation occurred in a day and a half. My electric bill went to the minimum immediately and stayed there even when I added two split air cooling systems.
