SBS in Missoula, Montana was simply outstanding in all respects! They were prompt, knowledgeable, friendly and did great work. I want to particularly single out Josh, our sales rep for his friendliness and helpfulness. Also Ty and the rest of his crew just did a super job. Again very friendly, worked diligently and carefully. I would have to say SBS Solar was one of the best if not the very best experiences we have had working with a company.

We are thrilled with SBS Solar and our new solar panel project. Josh, our Salesman, laid out the costs and benefits in an easy to understand manner. Spring is a very busy time of year for solar installation but Josh kept us appraised of their schedule so we were available. Suzie, the SBS Administrative Coordinator was superb to work with. She cheerfully answered any of our questions and worked with us to make the payment documentation very clear. The SBS installation staff worked thru some WIFI challenges to enable us to monitor the panels and production. We were very pleased with every phase of the installation.

We got three bids for our solar system and SBS was, by far, the superior choice -- in terms of pricing, professionalism, and reliability. We are extremely happy with the system they installed for us. SBS Solar did a phenomenal job on our solar installation. The detailed bid was reasonable and thousands less (even with 8 more panels) than the bid from a national solar chain that just opened shop in state. The installation crew was remarkably efficient and professional. The system is working great, usually generating more than 50 kilowatt hours a day. I can't recommend SBS any higher.

My husband and I have talked about getting solar power for years. With the local power company constantly raising rates and favoring fossil fuels, we thought it was time. In 2024, we received two company bids. The estimate from SDS was a whopping $10,000 below the other vendor. While an explanation of cost differences made sense, we opted for the lower bid because our age (70;s) may preclude us from ever recouping our cost. Our location in Montana does not promise huge solar gains, but we feel like it is the right thing to do.

From sales, to installers, to administrative assistance, everyone at SBS Solar was very professional and very helpful. They kept the process on track and handled all the required paperwork. The solar panels look great and they are working great. I am so happy I went with SBS Solar.

We used SBS Solar for our solar installation. From design through installation and go live the process was seamless. We were well informed, updated on progress and now the final result is as promised. We received our first bill from Northwestern Energy and we out produced utilization in the month of April. Given the current agenda of power generation by Northwestern Energy in our state which is doubling down on coal and natural gas along with promises of significant rate increase coupled with the current 30% federal tax credit we couldn't be happier in our decision to go solar. Based on current energy costs I believe the break even point will be around 7 1/2 years but with planned rate increases I suspect the time line will be shorter. With a 30 year warranty on the panels, 25 yrs on the optimizers and 12 yrs on the inverter it seems like a no brainer. Special thanks goes out to Josh, Ralph, Suzie, Flynt, Ty and everyone else who helped us out!

We had a great experience working with SBS Solar from the initial estimate, to all the questions we kept asking, to install. Everyone, through the process, was easy to work with. We are happy with the whole experience.

SBS did a great job. Once they started on the project, it went very quickly and with no serious problems. It took a while to get the wifi module working with our wifi, but they got that done and I am having fun monitoring. Everyone at SBS was proactive in reaching out to me about the next step and they made the permitting process as easy as can be. It’s hard to find enough good things to say about SBS. They were communicative, on time, efficient and pleasant. The workers cleaned up after themselves, patiently explained things and obviously knew what they were doing. I shopped around and got four or five quotes. SBS had the lowest cost, the soonest install, and a great estimate of electric coverage for the planned panels. The install took two mornings and the rest was waiting on energy provider to get the rest setup. Everything was taken care of for me and I just had to be available to let people onto the property. Friendly, professional, and good quality (so far). They even set me up with an app to monitor the production of the panels :D

SBS Solar's performance in designing, organizing and installing our solar system was absolutely flawless. Their communication is outstanding and their staff is talented and delightful to work with. This is one of the finest experiences with a major home project that we have had in nearly 50 years of owning homes. And SBS Solar completed the project nearly two months ahead of the date originally scheduled! I really cannot praise them too much.

I decided to use SBS Solar based on recommendations from a friend and associates. Ralph was very attentive and was quick to reply to my questions and requests. Everyone envolved in the process was very knowledgeable and did a great job. There is a lot of planning and scheduling that needs to be completed by a solar installer from getting the panels on the house, electricians, and coordination with the power company, and SBS has the process refined!

Great communication, professional and delivered when he said they would plus he put a lot of extra time into helping us obtain a USDA grant for our project which offset the expense tremendously, on top of pointing out a tax credit available from both the state of MT and the Federal government eventually making the overall cost of the project very affordable. SBS Solar has a crew of technicians who are punctual and respectful of your time and property. They finished the project on time and followed up post installation to program the system as per-my needs. Upon being informed of two panels that were underproducing, they reached out to manufacturers and later replaced the panels to ensure I was getting the best output from my installed Solar system. My experience with SBS Solar was excellent from first contact with the company until the completion of the project. I had originally thought that my flat roof would be unsuitable for solar panels. SBS reassured me by explaining exactly how the panels would be installed without damaging the integrity of the roof. The estimate was reasonable and contained an explanation of the tax benefits and work commenced within a short time. Each step was explained by the workers and when the panels were installed Suzie, in the office, walked me through completing the necessary paperwork for Northwest Energy. Once the new metering connection was completed a representative came to the house to explain how to read it. I strongly hesitation recommend SBS Solar to anyone planning to have solar panels installed.

Fantastic service! Dan and his staff maintained great communications with me from the very first contact with them until well after the panels were installed. Dan is passionate about his work and extremely knowledgeable about his industry. He and his staff got to my project even sooner than they had promised, completed things in a very timely fashion, and cleaned up so thoroughly that you'd never know they had been there (except for the panels, the associated equipment, and the huge reduction in my electric bill). There was no trace of the ditch they dug where they had to bury some line. They handled all the inspections and lined me up with the necessary paperwork with Northwestern Energy. After the system was operational, Dan came back to explain how to read the meters and track how much power the system is making. I couldn't be happier with the project or the process.
