I admit, there were only 2 'bidders' for our home project. (1) Solar Connections and (2) me. I really wanted to design and install our own ground mount system myself. But I also knew, from many hours of research, from experience wiring this property and a glowing recommendation from a trusted friend in the power distribution business, that I had better get at least 1 other 'competing' bid. I fully expected that the bid would be too expensive for the size of the system I wanted. But once I saw it and figured what I would have to pay to get comparable hardware (that took me a while), the profit built into the bid seemed very fair. That, coupled with the fact that we are always happy to support local business and their estimated time to get the system up and running was way shorter than the 'preferred vendor... me' we signed up. Super glad we did. The whole process from sales to commissioning was low pressure, informative, VERY flexible given we decided midstream to upgrade some panels to both meet code today and be ready for battery chargers in the near future.

The presentation of the information and the research they did as we showed interest in solar was top notch. Much better than another "solar company" that came with more of a sales pitch for financing than discussion of our potential solar output. The installation went great! And communication with everyone at Solar Connection has been very responsive and helpful. I love the app I can use on my phone or computer to see exactly what is being generated and in the short time we have had them in place, they appear to be generating as much or more than discussed based on our Minnesota weather and my roof not facing perfectly south.

I just got 16 panels going on my house. These guys also installed 12 panels on the garage 6 or 8 years ago. They are great to work with. The new batch presented some difficulties, going on a 97 year old house, but they rolled with the problems and we have our panels going. Great job, great bunch to work with.

We have had a terrific experience with Solar Connection. They provided us many options for our solar system: # of panels and placement, inverter options, panel wattage. They provided information about RPU and federal rebates. They responded quickly to all of the questions I had about the system. Our system has been producing enough to cover our entire RPU bill every month.

Solar Connection truly provided a connection of history with the present. The solar panel installation on an historic carriage house renewed the purpose of the building. Where hay was once fed to horses to pull carriages, the panels now power an electric car. Solar Connection professionaly made this dream come true.

Solar Connection is very professional and very easy to work with. Their proposal might not be the cheapest, especially compared with some quotes from out of state vendors, but their assessment is more trustworthy. Garry explained to me the ideal configuration for my rooftop and the cost benefit analysis is convincing. He also regularly followed up during and after the installation and answered any questions I may have. The scheduling and installation process is smooth and streamlined. Megan did a great job explaining the process. Her responses are always so prompt. There were checkpoints during installation that were gated by the local utility, but I can tell they have established a good working relationship to make it as easy as possible. I’d say this is one of the reasons to go with a local company besides supporting local business. Now is the second month after the installation. I am still crunching numbers and see them translating into real dollars. So far so good, and more importantly, I feel confident that if I need assistance, I can count on these guys.

The install team cleaned up after themselves, painted conduit to ematch the house, and wallfished wires so they wouldn’t be exposed. Megan and team filled out all of the permits and rebate paperwork. Knowledgeable staff worked diligently to fulfill my desire to produce clean energy. My new cattle barn was equipped with 40 panels that produce about 2 MW in a sunny month. Now I can retire and turn the cattle business over to my sons. I call it "Focus" because that's where the sons raise meat.

Working with Solar Connection was easy, from beginning to end. Though we had some communication misses with inspections and such, emails were always answered quickly and the paperwork was easy to do with the online payment and signing options. Our install took a couple days and inspections were on and off the next week but once we were up and running the monitoring app gave us an view of the panels doing their work. I had my solar system installed last summer and it has been operational since early July. I have been extremely pleased with it, have had no trouble with it at all, and the system is producing as they said it would. What the company representatives told me was in line with what I'd read when I researched solar power, and it has proven to be accurate. And, I think this is funny... Before I got my system, I was not careful with the amount of power I used. Since I got it, I turn off lights all the time, and my usage is actually lower than what it used to be.

Solar connection installed a 14.8Kw system on my house. It has been operational for 6 months now and we are getting our first negative electric bills now that spring is here. Quote was accurate with no overruns, and the installation was smooth. Prompt service response on a minor issue with a fuse. Problem was resolved quickly. Great local company. Recommended

The process was a bit slow at first with needing various approvals including the HOA, but, once it got rolling, it was pretty fast. Everyone was great to work with. And after it was installed, they made sure I understood the system and made sure they took the time to answer any questions I had. Felt very comfortable with everyone from the company and they were true professionals

Solar energy is more than a fly by night product that will go away with the next fashionable go green initiative. Solar has impacted the way energy companies create and purchase energy. There are many start up companies with bad intentions to jump on this growing industries and I have spoken with many of them. As a homeowner in the city and not a farmer; several companies would not even give me the time of day or even check to see if me home was viable simple because I wasn't a farmer. Some even will boast about no money down or "free" systems and nothing more than trying to get panels on your roof and money in their pocket. The real question is will they be there five or ten years from now if there is an issue? Solar Connection is different. They have cultivated respect from the local utility companies and have use their professional expertise with local building inspectors to complete the solar project on time without hassle. When choosing a solar look more at the bottom line price but the overall scope of the project. We put in a 28-panel, ground mount solar system with Solar Connection. They worked hard to get the design right. We were originally thinking of putting it on our roof; however, we realized we could get more production for the amount spent with a ground mount system. Their prices were the best we found in our area, and their service was good! I’d recommend them if you’re looking to go solar!
