Best choice Ever
So glad we went with Solar Smart Living, LLC for our solar panels! They did a great job and even cleaned up well afterward. Our consultant, Bree Halcyon, was so knowledgeable and easy to work with! She had all the answers. We also had them come back later to install Critter Guards on the solar panels. This was a quick, clean job by the gentlemen who did the work. They even helped us set up our PC, laptop, and one phone to track the energy use from the solar panels.

Excellent from beginning to end!
As an engineer with >30 years of experience, I know that I am a tough sell. Several solar companies were going door to door to solicit business in our area, so I explored their proposals while also investigating other solar companies serving El Paso. In short, Solar Smart Living (SSL) secured my contract and they blew the competition out of the water! SSL had the best components, their own experienced employees in all areas (sales, engineering, installation, and accounting), actual leadership engagement, great service, fast response times, on-time delivery and a great PRICE! Other companies couldn't compare in any of these categories. The others seemed more interested in selling financing deals than quality systems. Most companies contract out the installation, do not provide full local service, and use one or more components that are not satisfactory. My experience with SSL, was outstanding from start to finish. Mike Allen in the sales department took the lead providing the initial presentation and excellent service throughout the project. Mike was far more versed in solar than the representatives from the other contenders. Due to the technical nature of some of my questions, when Mike couldn’t answer me, he lined up Javier in SSL Engineering to answer me. (NOTE - with all of the other solar companies I was never able to talk to an actual person in their engineering department or their leadership.) The owner of SSL, Larry Perea answered my questions about his business history and practices, and even texted me when he was out of town. The fourth quarter is SSL's busiest season as customers want their systems installed by year end to take advantage of the tax incentive. When I signed the contract, SSL said the system would be installed by year end and they even beat their mid-December install target date by several days. Throughout the project SSL took care of everything effectively: design, approval with EP Electric, permits, installation, inspection, meter updates with EP Electric and commissioning. Tony, Austin, and the installation crew were great and on time. Tony is a journeyman electrician who's been with SSL for 8 years. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Austin lead the roof installation and was equally professional. I was able to consult real time with Javier in engineering when some panels needed to be repositioned due to stack penetrations. The repositioning didn’t cause the installation crew to skip a beat. What a great thing to have experienced full-time crews! After installation, the El Paso inspector was out within a few days. It was another week to wait on EP Electric meters and then they turned on the system. The final step was for the SSL tech to activate the online system-monitoring account with a cool mobile app, and then I paid the final installment with Rosa who was delightful. All in all a great experience and a great deal with a fantastic local company. We are fortunate to have this level of solar company in El Paso!

Outstanding Experience - they are customer focused pros
SSL's Bree Halcon is the sales rep to call. She brings the whole company's resources with her from start to finish. They answer your questions, explain and design the right architecture, install timely and professionally and follow up - even helping with your NM Solar Tax Credit approval. I can't say enough about how easy it was to work with them and how happy I am with the final product. The monitoring app is awesome.

Great Experience
I chose Solar Smart Living because of the excellent experience my brother and friend had when they visited their place of residence!! That is no lie, the staff (Alan and Rosa) have given us excellent service even after the installation!! They have contacted me back after hours of their M-F schedule and are very knowledgeable in their work and have answered all my questions and my doubts. Please recognize these 2 individuals for the excellent work that they do behind the scenes!! The entire process from beginning to end went extremely smoothly and everything Alan told us that was going to happen and the approximate day...IT HAPPENED!!! Super impressive and we are super happy with our solar panels!! I HIGHLY RECOMEND SOLAR SMART LIVING FOR WHOEVER IS LOOKING FOR A SOLAR COMPANY!! They were also the cheapest after talking to 3 other solar companies!! We are happy we chose Solar Smart Living!! You will too!!!!

I have been exceptionally happy with the system that was installed for me. The Job was done very well and completed in a reasonable amount of time. Since the completion my system has produced enough to pay for it's self. I could not be happier. A Job well done and a very professional staff.

Solar Power Living has been GREAT!
Having a full house Solar Living was a great option to help with our Electric bill. Had three companies give us price quotes and even though Solar Living wasn't the lowest we decided on them because of Friendly staff and great explanation on solar panels.

Great and honest Solar company!
I got proposals from different companies. Solar Smart Living was the best on price, quality and great service. Miss Oziris Garcia was very knowledgeable, answer all my questions and explained all the differences between them and all the other companies. My system was bigger than cuoted with other companies and cost $7,000.00 less than them. Closed the deal on the 10th of the month, got installed 10 days later and by the 28th of the month my home was running with Solar energy. I recommend Solar Smart Living over any other in El Paso, TX and Las Cruces NM. GREAT PRICE, VERY HONEST COMPANY, EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

The system has reduced the El Paso Electric monthly bill since the first bill after installation. Solar Smart installer was asked about adding a power cell to store excess power generation, but did not respond to the customer inquiry.
