We had a miscommunication with Progress Energy regarding some of the paperwork. Mr. Sheffiled was not aware of a docket number that needed to be in place prior to Progress Energy approving the interconnect. Progress Energy was the problem, with not communicating any type of need to the installer.

I do hope that after the interconnect is complete and the meter is set, Mr. Sheffield and I will sit down and he will go over how the thermal hot water tank works and how to check it (we have not done that) as well as the PV system.

Overall, Alternative Energy Concepts did a fantastic job with the install. I have had two former electricians see the system (doing other things) and they both have told me what a great job the installers did.

The thermal hot water works perfectly and I really like the was it is very discreetly installed.

The crew was professional at all times. They placed runners in all carpeted areas where they were working inside the house, and placed mats down for the shingles on the roof. They worked quickly and efficiently, and were very courteous. I have a dog and a cat, and the crew was conscientious of where they were and even interacted with my pets when they were taking a break.

The crew cleaned up completely after working each day, and the job was done when Mr. Sheffield told me it would be completed.

The PV panels were placed perfectly aligned with my roof, and have not wires or debris hanging underneath to cause shortages.

Mr. Sheffield and his crew were professional and courteous at all times, and I have recommended them to many of my friends at Duke Medical Center who are also interested in having solar installed.
I wanted to clarify about the purchase incentives: the only incentives that I qualify for are the tax rebates next year. None of those were applicable at this time.
