Do no use this company! Avoid at all cost! Even if they give you a free system and install. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Installed December 2018 and turned on January 2019 All went well for almost a year when first installed. Then inverter stop working October 2019. OK fine. Isht happens. But it took them about three weeks and about 6 calls before I received a call back! Bit irritated but problem resolved. Let's jump to March 2023. Half my panels stopped working. Looked all over the house for warranty paperwork. Couldn't find them. Started calling every company that has "Texas Solar" in its name because that much I could remember. Take a guess how many companies in Texas have Texas Solar with an attached word to it in its name. Even called the bank that we refinanced home with Solar panel cost into escrow account. They couldn't figure it out. Fortunately for me I got in contact with Jeff Butler with Texas Engineered Solar. He immediately got on the ball and with in minutes was monitoring my solar panels through mySolarEdge. He told me that I should have been notified immediately via email and the company that did installation should have been notified as well through mySolarEdge. Long story short. Jeff came to my house to trouble shoot the system. 15 panels were not working because of a loose wire nut. Why is there wire nuts and not butt connector or sodering on wires that are exposed to the elements? 3 panels are not working because they cut my bathroom vent on the roof down and placed panel directly above it. The ventilation caused some protective film to come off panel and causing damageto it. So it's an instalation issue. They should have never covered my vent. The vent is there for a reason and they can not be blocked off. If you block it, then what's the point of having a vent. Jeff tighten wire nut and by passed broken panel as a safety precaution. This this was an F-Up from the installation, Jeff said that manufacturer would not warranty it. He informed me that he can do some digging on his end to find the original installer, and he did so very quickly. So I called to confirm that it was installed by TEXAS SOLAR Integrated. Nice lady answered and confirmed that they did do the installation and emailed me a copy of my warranty. AWSOME! I read the warranty and I have a 10 year installation warranty. AWSOME! Called back to explained what happened and it needs to be repaired. This time it was another lady. Immediately tells me since somebody else touched my system that ALL MY WARRANTIES WERE DISMISSED AND WOULD NOT BE HONORED. Jeff tighten a wire nut and found a huge No, No on how that panel was installed from day one. Code violation. It should not have passed inspection. So now I have a $50,000 POS on my roof. Again, fortunately Jeff got all but one panels working. Jeff is also currently and will be for the future life of this poorly installed system be monitoring my system for me. He will be notified by mySolarEdge if something goes wrong again and will reach out to me for appointment for repairs. This company will not do that for you. When first installed, installer set my app for me. Did not set up my notifications, and have to verify daily through app that panels and inverter are working correctly. I have talked to Jeff about a total of three times over the phone and no longer then 10 minutes each time this past week and he's done more for me then this company has since they installed the system.
