Installing Solar and Instilling Confidence!
Thanks to the Biden Administration's Inflation Reduction Act and homeowner tax credits for solar energy, we decided to take the leap in 2023 and install solar panels on our home. After researching several companies, we decided to work with Bright Eye Solar. The first person we met via video call was Michael Charles, and he was extremely informative, friendly, and professional. We had a terrific conversation with all our questions answered, and learned a lot more about the process and materials available today. He made us feel very confident about our decision, and has been an excellent resource as additional questions came up, as has our project manager, Russell Manley. When the whole crew came to do the installation, we were impressed with how efficiently they worked and how low-impact a big job like this could be for our family. For example, we have two dogs and they hardly noticed all that was going on out there, and were still able to go out in the back yard as often as needed because the crew kept their ladders in the front and side yards at my request. Of course nearly all of the work was done outside with just one brief visit to our electrical panel in the basement, and even that was arranged so it would be convenient for us. The new panels look beautiful on our home and we can see our daily solar production online, which is very exciting! You can still take advantage of the AMAZING tax credit in 2024, so if you are on the fence like we were, this definitely makes it a more affordable venture and Bright Eye Solar will make it a positive experience. Every member of the Bright Eye team has been a pleasure to work with, and we highly recommend them when you are ready to make your own energy!

Bright Eye Solar is seriously incredible!
Bright Eye Solar hooked me up with a solar system this December, and it was hands down the best decision ever. First off, these guys are just awesome. Super friendly, and they didn't make me feel like a dummy even though I had no clue about solar stuff. They took the time to explain everything without using crazy technical jargon, and I really appreciated that. The installation itself was a breeze. They were on top of things, and you could tell they knew their stuff. Plus, they were so thorough—checking twice to make sure everything was perfect. What I loved the most was that they made going solar exciting. I mean, who gets pumped about solar panels, right? But these guys managed to do it! They talked about all the cool benefits and even showed me how I'd be saving money in the long run. It got me genuinely stoked about making a positive impact on the environment. I'm not one to write reviews, but Bright Eye Solar earned every bit of this five-star rating. If you're thinking about going solar, these are the folks to call. I'm already telling all my buddies to hit them up. Thanks, Bright Eye Solar, for making this whole solar thing a breeze! You guys rock!

Everyone was extremely supportive and the communication throughout the process was outstanding. From initial contact to being live on the grid was less than 2 months. Honest and fair prices too!

Great local company
I started gathering quotes for our solar install back in April '21. Bright Eye was one of 6 quotes I got and, while not being the cheapest per kW, earned my business through the honest and forthright conversations I had with Josh. Josh priced out several different configurations of panels and inverters for me and we ultimately ended up going with Silfab 330's and Enphase IQ7+ microinverters. Our project got delayed a few months at no fault of BES, which ended up being a good thing as the 330's were discontinued and Silfab launched the Elite line which offers 2% better efficiency. The contract was signed in August for 30 Silfab 370's/Enphase IQ7+ for an 11.1 kW system. Working with Yvette through the contract, utility interconnection, inspections, etc. was a breeze. She was quick to respond to my emails and answered any questions I had. In September, Josh reached out offering an upgrade to Silfab 380's (I assume due to supply issues) which bumped the size up to 11.4kW and dropped the cost to a respectable $2.58/kW. Austin, the project manager, contacted me to schedule the install which began in December and took three full days. Email responses were a bit slow, but I'll chalk it up to Austin being out of office at job sites. RJ was the lead on the install team and Adam was the electrician. Both were pleasant to work with and answered any questions I had. On day one RJ let me know that the original plans to only use the upper dormer on my house wasn't going to work with the 380's and they would have to use the lower dormer above my garage. Not an issue to me, but something I thought could have been recognized before the crew was on the roof. In the end, they made it work. On the last day of install, I was told that the Enphase Envoy combiner was MIA and they wouldn't be able to finish the install until that came in. This took another week and a half come in, but they were out at the house quickly to get it up and running. Yvette and Austin got the inspections scheduled and everything passed just fine. One thing we learned was that Lebanon County actually requires scheduling of separate electrical and building inspections and they don't just schedule both at the same time. MetEd was quick to get the Net Meter installed and we had official Permission to Operate within two weeks of install completion. All in all, my experience with BES was quite good and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a quality local installer with a good track record and great customer service. Thanks to BES we will be cranking out more juice than we will use for years to come!

Couldn't be more pleased
BrightEye Solar installed my system (29 panels, 9.57 kW) in early September 2021, so it has been up and running for almost five months. My journey into solar started on a whim, and I ended up getting nine different quotes before choosing BrightEye. In the end, no one else came close in terms of customer service, price, production, hardware, etc. BrightEye seemed to have it all, but I wanted to wait to write a review until I had plenty of time to see the whole picture. In short, I couldn’t be more pleased. Everyone at BrightEye has been fantastic to work with. Josh, the consultant that I worked with from day 1, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and he answered all of my dozens of my questions. I can’t thank Yvette and Annette enough for all of their support, and I even had the pleasure of speaking with the CEO, Jim. The electricians and installers were great, and their work was impeccable. The team was even able to get approval from the utility company for a special request that I had regarding placement of the outside disconnect panel. Now for the system. I went with the Enphase microinverters as opposed to a string inverter. They cost a bit more, but they have a 25-year warranty, and I like being able to see what each panel is producing throughout the day. I watch the Enphase Enlighten app all day (especially on sunny days), and I love all of the info that it provides. I was told that I would likely have a couple of electricity bills during the winter months since the system wasn’t installed until September. The system produced enough from September through November so that I had enough kWh banked to get me through December and January, and I will easily have enough to get me through February as well. The electricity production has far exceeded my expectations. Back to the customer service: Earlier this morning (on a snowy Saturday), I checked the app and noticed that four of the microinverters weren’t reporting data. I emailed Adam at BrightEye, and the issue was corrected in less than five minutes. The service after the sale is as impressive as everything else with this company. I can’t recommend BrightEye highly enough, and I tell everyone that I know about them.

Highly recommend this company!
I recently had Bright Eye Solar install their system on my roof. The sales staff was knowledgeable and quick to reply to all my inquiries. The installation was well done and the system was producing power within a week of the installation start date. I had three reputable quotes on this job and they won my business due to their 5 year system production quarantee that none of the other companies felt comfortable offering. Bright Eye Solar took care of everything and I couldn't be more pleased!

A successful SOLAR story
This is our story of installing a small residential solar system with a large electric grid supplier in a municipality of few such installations. At the beginning we knew nothing, yet we had a long strong history of working with restoration and building contractors, but this was a new rodeo! We realized the challenges of getting unbiased information about a solar installation; its reliable components; its financial aspects (beginning to end); product and installers’ warranties; and dealing with municipality codes, electric grid net metering procedures, tax credit, and SRECs. While there are a number of internet sites claiming to help, many are either installers with their own particular services, financial come-ons, and system products, or “ANGI” type sites who have collected such installers. There are YouTube presentations, but again there might be agendas by presenters, rather than unbiased info. We found UnderstandSolar.com and SolarUnitedNeighbors.org to be comprehensive and helpful. We researched and gathered information, then we developed installer interview standards and questions, as well as objectives and particulars wanted within our contract with any installer. Now we reach out to installers. While we would have preferred to support local installers, the email/text responses cascade in from both ‘national’ installers and from ‘ANGI’ sites. Ironically, even though our some of our local installers are members of ‘ANGI’ site, none of them are passed to us. The nearest installer offered was 200 miles away…ah service from a distance “when we get enough clients in your area, we’ll contact you”. SOLUTION: Reach out to our Real Estate and banking folks…ah, let’s get local! We were recommended to BRIGHTEYE SOLAR, LLC… “We went with Josh cuz we knew the family and he did our first business system, but BRIGHTEYE SOLAR offered a better price, warranty, and service, you should check them out.” After interviewing five other local installers (within 30 miles), each addressing, as best they could or wanted to, our interview standards and contract wishes, BRIGHTEYE SOLAR’s Dan showed not only his personal and professional attention to us, but also confirmed that BRIGHTEYE SOLAR does the same. Our initial meetings with Dan were followed up with email and phone question/answer sessions. At contract signing time we met with the company’s owner Jim to create and agree with a mutually constructed comprehensive contract and system proposal (location, components, warranties, time-lines, follow-ups, etc.). Within two weeks a knowledgeable crew of Adam (electro-tech), R.J. and Sam carefully explained and completed the 17 PV panel installation in two days. They kept the work site clean, orderly and made adjustments based on our on-site preferences, which did not violate the site plans provided to us by BRIGHTEYE SOLAR’s client contact Yvette. Yvette expertly resolved all the inspections, net metering contracts, and SREC contracts with continued email/phone contact with us. Project manager Austin confirmed the system’s effectiveness on day 2 of installation; was present for municipal site inspections (passed); and effectively established the system internet monitoring, and its net metering with the SREC service. So, the story’s continues…we did the necessary homework; determined what we wanted in a system and who we wanted to work with based on shared criteria; went through the people processes to find a firm, which was personable, professional, accommodating, comprehensive its service and communication; and followed through with integrity to our system’s completion. Don’t believe us…go with BRIGHTEYE SOLAR. Ask them for our contact so you can verify our solar success story… we await your contact!
