has been19 months and they have not fixed my inverter so have no battery backup

Service after the sale is lacking. One of my solar inverters failed in January, which means 10% of my panels are offline until it is replaced. Mason at Greenlight acknowledged they received the part that should be replaced under warranty months ago, but they have yet to perform the repair. I've been told several times that the inverter would be replaced, but then the tech never shows up. Phone calls go straight to voice mail and I don't get responses via chat or email. Completely unacceptable.

Installed my solar with Greenlight in 2017 with 25 year warranty on parts (panels, inverter,...) and 10 year original owner support. I started noticing that my solar output was low even on a nice sunny day and wrote emails (several of them), left them voice mails over 10+ days. I never got a response of even acknowledgement. Looks like they are most interested in getting the money during installation and then you are on our own.

I chose Greenlight Solar & Roofing from the 4 bids I received for several reasons. 1) The presentation of the plan was clear, even to me without a background in solar. 2) The plan was comprehensive to capture as much solar power as possible. 3) Everyone was easy to work with and communicated well. I am extremely pleased with Greenlight as they made the whole process easy. They communicated with me by email and phone every step of the way. They followed up to make sure I received all the information and walked me through downloading the app and how to use it. I couldn’t be more pleased with the process, the results, and my tiny electrical bill. I especially appreciated the installers. Many solar systems look like a geometric puzzle on the roof with galvanized tubing connecting it all. No galvanized tubing is visible on my roof, anywhere. The plain black panels with the black frames are beautiful and don’t distract from the aesthetics of the home. The installers went the extra mile to honor my requests.

All I need to say is the quality of service and products speak for themselves. Fairly priced as well. Can’t beat this company

I don't normally write reviews but I was so impressed with this company I just had to post one. The installers were polite, professional, and helpful, even fixed a problem with my electrical panel. After the install was completed a Mr. Casey Helsel came and setup my solar panel monitor app and showed me how everything worked. Mr. Helsel was very friendly and was willing to take the time to answer all our questions, and left his phone number just in case we had other concerns. Their office person, Angie has been a joy to work with and always returned my phone calls promptly. I would recommend this company to anyone thinking about solar power.

GreenLight folks are professional and reliable, at every phase (pardon the pun). We got a high-quality system for a good price (18 panels), and they were responsive at every step. My only suggestion for improvement is this: You have to do your homework if you want to forecast your payout on the system cost; that is complicated, and one way they could do even more, is to help prospective customers work through all the details of how a payout calculation works. I recommend them! 2

Easy, straight forward and performed exactly as expected. Dave is a great salesman that answered all of my questions and gave factual information that made me understand that going with Green Light Solar was the right choice. Clean and tidy installation. No issues with the workmanship or the crew.

We just got our first negative value electric bill. This is twice as exciting because we drive electric cars (one all electric and one plug in hybrid) so we seldom use any gasoline. I found Chis to be very easy to work with. All of the installers were great. Some were subcontractors and some were in house. All were knowledgeable and professional. Greenlight was able to get us installed before the end of the year so we've already taken our tax credit. The final result is a good looking system that's performing just as we expected

Our job ended up far more complicated than anticipated — not for technical reasons, but because the City of Portland made it uncommonly difficult to get all the permitting with our historic district regulations. Chris put in a tremendous effort to get everything finalized, including redesigning the entire array, and in the end we were apparently one of the few such installations the city's ever approved. They didn't charge any extra despite the unanticipated hassle, and then they zoomed us to the front of the line for installation once approved. Install was straightforward and professional, and it didn't even take too long for the power company to install the new meter. Would definitely recommend these folks.

Chris from Green Light Solar gave us all the information we needed and answered any questions we threw at him. The team that came to install the solar panels was friendly, professional, and fast. They were in and out in 2 days just as promised.

Don't reply once contacted. Have follow up problems and call every two weeks. No action to alleviate problem except to laugh and say that salesman is no longer with us. Left positive feedback on all sites and never seen the $100 promised. Left a list of 20 contacts and none of them have been contacted. Guess better business bureau is next stop. $40,000 installation paid for in full with cash and treat me like shit.

We looked at 3 different Solar companies and by far Green Light Solar was the best! Their system and materials are superior. Knowing that if something goes wrong with one panel, the whole line will not be affected is such a relief! The process was not stressful, we are really glad we will be saving a ton of money on electricity. Dave Wood is super helpful and if he can't get the answer to a question, he will find someone that can!

Easy to flow on the process, fast and efficient installation as well

Mason and Angie were great to work with. A couple hiccups on installation but made right in the end so that's what matters. They look great and are online and working just in time for summer sun. I would definitely reccomend.

The GreenLight crews were very professional as they installed our new system. They were quick, efficient and very pleasant to work with. Dave Wood was very helpful from choosing the correct size system at the start, getting a crew in to remove some big trees, and to explaining how to use the computer/Wi-Fi to track our energy reports. As soon as the papers were sign, GreenLight installers were on my roof installing the solar panels. The workers were friendly and worked hard until the job was complete. Fortunately, the installation process took place on one of the sunny days in October. Looking forward now to the sun shining down on my roof.

After talking with some other companies I had thought that solar wasn't affordable for me and my family. After a friend had Greenlight install a solar system on their home I decided to give them a call and boy was I wrong. The whole process was very easy from start to finish, the rebates paid for the majority of my system and they were a lot cheaper than the previous bids 2e had received. All in all, it's been 34 days since we first signed the contract and today, even in this pouring rain I am producing some solar power! Thanks to Evan and the entire staff at Greenlight solar, I look forward to seeing my savings in the future.
