Great Company - honest, good customer service
I spent around 20 hours researching different companies in my area: their reviews, their panels, their customer service, etc. Earth Right Mid-Atlantic was tied for my top pick of solar companies. Corey, one of the owners, sealed the deal when I discussed the different aspects in their proposal from their competitor. Now, months later, I'm glad he did. Sumner was my Energy Consultant and first contact, he walked me through the proposal and answered my many questions regarding the numbers. Being an engineer, the numbers were extremely important to me. After signing the proposal, they took everything from there, including contacting my electric company for the netmeter installation. After the netmeter was hooked up, I started monitoring the SolarEdge app/website hours a day and constantly plugging numbers into my spreadsheets and formulas. I was in constant contact with Dylan in customer service. He was always available and even responded some weekends, which I was very grateful for. You compare this to just about all the reviews you see for some other companies (PowerHome for example) and it was a breath of fresh air to see that they stick with you after they've received your check. Another aspect that I must praise Earth Right for, on top of the home efficiency bundle and panels, they also installed an inverter that allowed the app to monitor real-time kW usage. This allowed me to see exactly how much wattage items used. After adjusting some different lights, pool pump, heat pump usage, etc. I was able to cut my bill down even further. So far, I have lessened my kW usage by 75% (their projection was 50%) and have produced ~10% more power than projected. So they don't oversell their product - the numbers you see, you can trust. If I had to come up with something constructive to say, it would be that there were aspects of the panels I had to Google due to the lack of knowledge on their part. Considering this is the only thing I can think of, I'd say they are doing pretty darn well. I highly recommend this company, they hit an A+ in all my requirements: honesty, kindness/patience, and customer service after installation.

Great company superb customer service. Able to answer any question or concern before during or after install. They even check up on you to make sure you are enjoying the benefits of the system.

Shane Durie came down and explained everything to us in great detail and made everything crystal clear. I can be kind of a difficult person to deal with because I need to know every little detail before I am happy. Shane was patient, on more than one occasion worked late to accommodate my schedule and has been awesome to deal with. Very much looking forward to our new solar project being completed! #solarshane

I had a great experience working with Earth Right Mid-Atlantic. While they were not the absolute cheapest, they did some things that the other companies didn't offer with regards to energy efficiency (specifically the attic solar fan and the additional insulation). Earth Right was by far the least pushy with their sales pitch - Joe did a good job. The actual installation was quick but not rushed (I did a quick walk of the roof after it was installed and it looks great). There was a little debris left around the house after installation - mainly zip ties - but overall it wasn't too bad. After getting the meter swapped out I can really see the benefits starting to appear even in March. Earth Right went the extra mile to install CTs so I can monitor usage real time, which is super cool. Overall great experience and so far the system itself seems to be doing well.

Good experience so far
earth Right team is knowledgeable and a good set of people. They were honest. My install process went rather smooth from a solar perspective. I had a few energy upgrades performed to enhance the benefit of solar which I have been pleased with as well and seem to have helped lower overall energy use ( the attic foil). There were about 2 months between attic foil install and solar, so I was able to tell a general better moderation of house temperature and comfort. I also had a pool pump upgrade but due to COVID the agreed upon pump was out of stock which I am displease with, but Corey has assured the agreed pump will be sent/ installed once it is available. Supply has been an issue with many industries, if thisThe Electric company did install wrong meter but my net metering agreement is still fine and as expected. Corey and his team do a great job. He even has a roofing company which provided a comparable and fair roof estimate which went down without any issues. Once the pool pump issue is corrected, this will be a 6 star experience for sure.

Best thing I ever did.
My Dominion Energy bill went from $150.00 to $ 7.60 in the summer months after Cory installed solar panels on 2/4/2019. I couldn't have been happier so we went the next step and added 1 mini split and 2 floor models for heating and air. Keeping the whole house between 65-67 degrees I was nervous for my first electric bill. It came today . $ 67.67....and there were many 100 degree plus days that I stayed home , canning in the kitchen. I was delighted to see we produced 893.98 kWh and were only billed for 491 kWh, saving 403.kWh. That's some good saving right there !!! Best retirement plan and added value to our home.

Knowledgable, respectful,
Corey was upfront about explaining all the aspects of the system and installation. He provided a full explanation of the costing associated with the price of the project. He has maintained periodic contact since the system went on line. In October of 2020 they installed Earth Seal, a mylar product. They installed it on all attic surfaces that had living areas on the other side. We have had a noticeably balanced temperature through out the house since the installation. We had a small room on the north side of the house. In the winter it was very cold and the summer very hot. after the Earth Seal was installed in attic above the temperature in always comfortable.

Simply a superb journey to go solar
I spent many years in the power generation industry as an engineer and operator. Earth Right Mid Atlantic is simply superb!!! They listen to the customer at ALL TIMES!! Together we made four changes to my installation over the lifetime of the project, including the actual day of installation. They answered every question I had, down to the smallest detail. Last summer (pre-solar) I would set my upstairs thermostat to 66, in hopes that I could keep the upstairs below 72. Today it is 92 outside and the thermostat is set at 71 because 69 is simply to cool (and I'm a polar bear...I love it cold). That is because of the insulation work they did as part of the project. Upstairs where my office resides can be imagined as a shoe box inside of a Cap Cod roofline. Earth Right's insulation covered the entire shoe box with their insulation panels. This past winter I was able to heat the upstairs using just the first floor heating system I did not use the upstairs heating at all. The solar system has generated to date 8MW of power. March, April, May and June it generated 1+ MW per month. Our electric bills for those same months were $8, $8, $7, $7 respectively. Pre-solar our electric bills averaged $275/month. Lastly I would say this, I used to review information security products professionally for publication....so I'm a tough guy to impress. This company is a company of their word. They look for what is best for their clients and then deliver a first class solution. I HIGHLY recommend Earth Right Mid-Atlantic.

Transparent and No Pressure
Compared quotes to other companies and their pricing was not only better but they didn't push product on me that I didn't want or couldn't afford. Process was seamless with financing. Worked to make sure I was happy with the process and the outcome.

Love it!
The attic system was done first and I could tell over a week that it was working. About a week later the solar installation was done and the thermostat is set at 78 degrees 50 percent humidity and sometime you actually would like a sweater. I live in Hampton Road VA and the last week the outside temp is over 100. The Solar Energy is well worth it in my book. The Dominion Power Bill is low. The intallation crew was fast and efficient also courtious. I would use and recommend EARTH RIGHT again. I'm very happy with the sale and service. This is great. JJB
