Top notch solar company!

Exceptional service and quality! They did a full roof replacement and installed a 9kw solar array. Couldn’t be happier! The roof looks great and the solar panels are producing excellently! The whole team was there every step of the way to keep me informed and answer all of my questions…and I asked plenty of them. They listened how I wanted the conduit on the roof to run and the whole job looks clean and aesthetically pleasing. Look no further than Premier Improvements Solar! Shout out to Brian, Adam, and Chelsea!

Some good things, but endless delays soured the experience

I can’t recommend Premier Improvements as a positive solar experience. They started out promising. Brian was very approachable and eager to work with us. We had specific needs that he was willing to accommodate, and the price and financing were excellent. However, at no point would I consider them to be timely, and it has only gotten worse once the financing cleared and the panels were installed, which is only about half of the project. We initially signed paperwork in May/June of 2022. We were told there was several months backlog and we probably wouldn’t get the panels installed until September. Annoying, but understandable. This slowly pushed back into December, and finally early January for the installation date. Brian was responsive and available up until this point. Once our panels were installed and Premier was paid, I stopped receiving nearly as attentive service. At this point, we still needed to have a trench filled in, have the system inspected, and have it cleared with Eversource. We didn’t even have the system inspected until late February. I would get about one check in a week from Premier. We had a further complication with Eversource. Due to some paperwork that was improperly filed (that Premier did actually correct – Eversource’s error in the long run), Eversource did not turn the panels on until early June. At this point I thought we were done. However, June was a very smokey and rainy month so it wasn’t until early July 2023 that I realized there was a problem and the panels were not performing optimally. I alerted Premier immediately, who denied this problem for 10 days before confirming that it was real and that one of my inverters was only operating at half capacity. It took another 2-3 weeks just to get an electrician out to look at them, where they told me it was a system update that was needed and that the panels were fixed. The next sunny day, it was obvious to me that they were not fixed, and I was told “we are working on it” and have heard nothing back for a week. At this point I have been only generating about 75% of the power my system is capable of, for two months. It is now August 2023, well over a year after I started this process, and I still have not gotten the system or performance that we were promised. I’ve been told that the Premier Protection Plan will somehow cover me through all this mess, but no one has yet explained to me how this will actually work or what the plan is. I’ve tried to remain optimistic through all this, the people at the company are genuinely nice and appear to be trying to help me, but the pace of getting anything done is just not worth it.

You perceive a lack of communication after your installation, however upon review you have received well over 50 emails, over a dozen texts, and multiple phone calls from our staff since your installation has been complete with one staff member even returning your calls, texts, and emails from her son's hospital bed when you reached out to her despite her communicating she would be out of the office attending to her family medical emergency. Our staff has worked tirelessly for you, both to fix an error that Eversource made and to aid in your production assessment. Both the trenching and system inspection were impacted by weather which was communicated to you via email. Premier Improvements never denied any issue with your production. Staff members responded to you promptly and requested a 10-day period to observe system production as your anomolous lack of production coincided with the anomalous wildfire smoke from the Canadian fires; we wanted to assess the panel production with clear skies. We have extensive documentation of the frequent communication from our staff members even extending well beyond business hours. We have gone above and beyond to provide you with a quality experience, and we will continue to do so because we value our clients and always make them a priority.

We're very happy we chose Premier Improvements

For many reasons, economic and philosophical, we knew we wanted to have solar energy in our newly purchased, but very old home in Connecticut. After an extensive search we decided to go with Premier Improvements. Adam and his colleagues at Premier Improvements answered all of our questions, but also took care of everything, from coordinating with our schedule to scheduling our inspections with Eversource and our town. Throughout the entire process, Adam did everything we needed. He even scheduled our installation to fit our calendar. Our system is only six weeks old, but at this point we are very happy we decided to put in solar and even happier that we chose Premier Improvements!

Going Solar with confidence

When selecting our home Solar system, we evaluated several different companies. After our consultations about the right solar system for our property with Adam and Brian we knew Premier Improvements was a top-notch company. We love our solar!

We have always wanted solar panels on our house and Premier Improvements was a great choice! Brian, Chelsea, and Adam are a great team and always there to help throughout the process! We knew we could always call/text or email anyone on the team and they would get back to us with quick responses. They took care of the whole process for us- from install, to inspection, to the final step of getting our panels turned on. Great people to work with

This was our first foray into solar panels and I was definitely not sure it was the right decision. But I did my research and decided to go with Adam and the super team at Premier Improvements. Not only did they answer ALL my questions--and extremely patiently I might add--but they took care of everything, from discussing equipment choices, batteries, and sizing, to a superb installation both on the roof and in the basement. The installation is almost "elegant!" Then they took care of setting up the inspections with the town building inspector and the town electrical inspector. At every step of the process I knew I could reach out to Adam and the team with any questions, and they were always quick to respond. Incredible communication! Without question I highly recommend going solar with them. I thought solar would be a challenge because I've heard horror stories from people. And at times, particularly with our electricity provider, it was difficult to some degree. But that was minimized because we chose Premier Improvements. They're honest, straightforward, very accessible, and incredibly helpful! Go with Premier Improvements!

Premier Improvements - A Great Company for Solar

First off, I want to say that Premier Improvements have been a great company to work with. I originally looked into solar at my previous location about eight years ago. One of my coworkers was saying how he got solar on his house with no money down. When I looked into it, most of the solar companies were pushing solar leases and it just did not seem like a good deal to me at that time. I’ve moved to a new place since then and several factors made me consider solar again. Our local utility keeps upping the rates. Plus, there were better incentives than the last time I checked. And, the roof on our house was also in need of replacement. I looked into several companies, and without a doubt, Premier Improvements was the best one I spoke with. They are a SunPower dealer, and I liked the idea of having all of the major components coming from the same company. They also were able to do the roof and coordinate with SunPower so that everything was timed properly. The old roof was stripped and replaced with Owens Corning 50 year shingles in one day. The crew was good. They took the time to make sure that my landscaping was protected, and the yard was clear of debris when they left. The roof looks great, and it has stood up to three high wind/rain events. Overall, I am very happy with the job they did on the roof. As far as the solar install goes, they have been great at keeping SunPower on schedule. When SunPower came to do my install, the weather was not cooperating and they were unable to install the panels. Premier Improvements kept them on track and even got SunPower to come out on a Saturday to finish the install so that the project would keep on track. They also took care of all the permits, and have coordinated with our utility to get us connected. I am very pleased with Premier Improvements and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for solar.

So glad we went solar

In looking at all the ways to stabilize our finances, I knew I wanted to get solar panels. I intensely researched 3 different vendors and finally decided on Premier Improvements. They answered every question I had, didn’t try to pressure me, offered the highest quality panels that can last 35-40 years and their prices were competitive. Both leasing and purchasing are good options, but I went with purchasing because the interest rate was les than 1%, and I get an up to $7500 tax rebate. Installation went smoothly. I now pay zero for my electric bill with Eversource, and get about $150 mailed to be each month by Eversource so the extra electricity I send to the grid (even after using all the electricity I need for the house and charging an electric car.). I use the $150 to pay the $150 monthly charge to pay off the panels. Once I pay off the panels, I should get 100% no cost electricity for 10-15 years. So glad we went solar.

As a first-time home buyer I was filled with lots of emotions and deciding to go solar was made extremely easy thanks to Adam and the team at Premier Improvements. Not only did they answer ALL my questions, they took care of everything from setting up the inspection with the city inspector to removing a large pine tree. At every step of the process I knew I could reach out to Adam with any questions and he would quickly respond. Incredible communication! Without a doubt, I would highly recommend going solar with them. I thought solar would be a challenge because I've heard horror stories from people, and after doing my research I cannot be more grateful for choosing Premier Improvements.
