Could not be happier
Could not be happier with the whole process. total install only took 1 week. followed by a second week for the final inspection by the county. the permit process took a bit only because our county is know for being really slow at issuing permits. Especially for structural as we did a ground mount system. Jen our project manager was very helpful. Any question since install have be answered very quickly. Can not wait for summer when we actually get some real sun to see this really produce. System was installed late 2023 like October ish.

Smart Solar installed on our roof beautiful set of solar panels and all was completed within a few hours. I was impressed with the service and professionalism. Also it was nice to get the panels installed right before summer, one-month before the original estimate. The communication with both Jordan and Jenn was prompt and very efficient. I will also use them when I am ready to expand the system in the future. After a few months, it is nice to track the Watts generated and used on my phone

Awesome company to work with
I am very satisfied with Smart Solar Energy. Jordan, Jenn and the installation crew (crew on your roof and electricians) were excellent to work with from quoting, to inspection, to permitting, to installation, to system start-up, and finally to our closing call. After we decided to have solar installed on our roof, we selected Smart Solar Energy to install our solar system for four reasons in order: 1) price 2) 25 year service/parts/labor warranty 3) friendliness 4) PNW business. Jordan's quote was very competitive and was actually better than 4 other solar vendors we interviewed. Jordan, Jenn, and the installers were also incredibly friendly through the whole process. Everyone at Smart Solar Energy was punctual and did an excellent job setting the homeowner's expectations at every step of the project. As homeowners, we did not have to schedule anything. Smart Solar Energy handled every communication with the city, utility company, and their installation crew. This was by far the most simple project that I have ever done to my home. All the homeowner has to do is let the inspector in, pay the deposit, let the installers in, pay the remaining balance, and set-up the monitoring app on your smartphone. There are many more steps to the process, but Smart Solar Energy handles them all. Thank you Smart Solar Energy and thank you Jordan and Jenn.

Impressed
I spent a lot of time looking around for the right solar provider. I was interested in a company that was well-established and not at risk of closing, leaving us without customer service. Before discovering Smart Solar, I went through two bad experiences with their competitors who misrepresented their services and solar power in general. Whether you are an engineer who is interested in every detail of your solar installation, or you are part of a family who just wants to consider investing in your home amid rising energy prices, Smart Solar out of Sherwood offers a nice local option, with a family vibe and top-notch service. Highly recommended.

Three projects in one shot!
I chose Smart Solar after going through the process with 3 other solar energy companies. After considering the financing options, the technology, the warranty, and associated servicing, on that alone, I would have gone with Smart Solar. Except I also had other needs. I wanted to upgrade my analog panel to a Smart wi-fi panel and I wanted to convert my gas water heater to a hybrid electric water heater for the additional energy savings and related rebates. Only 2 of the 3 companies were willing, 1 required I purchase the panel separately, and the other wouldn't take on my water heater need through their employed electricians. It was out of their wheelhouse and they weren't willing to take on the "liability". Only Smart Solar was able to work with its local electricians to independently wire a new switch for my water heater and take on the smart panel as part of the whole project. From a local, flexible, and understanding of customers' needs, hands down Smart Solar was the best choice. If you're looking to go solar, I hope this post is helpful to you in your project. We're super happy with our end result. Our smart panel allows us to see all kinds of data and usage that a stand-alone solar system is unable to provide. Overall, it was a great project bringing us closer to having a zero carbon footprint and our way to being more self-sufficient. Now, looking forward to battery technology maturing and setting up a backup system but that's for down the road. We'll likely turn to Smart Solar for that too. Best of luck!

Been researching solar for a few years and generally have felt dismayed by other installers’ sales tactics. Smart Solar Energy was the complete opposite from the very beginning. Our first call with Jordan was very informative and very transparent walking us through our options and how to best align our quote to our expectations. Icing on the cake was the fact that Smart Solar Energy had the best bid across about 10 local installers. Within a few days we decided that we wanted to move forward and signed the contract. From there on out, communication was consistent with clear expectations with Jenn and the rest of the team. We managed to get our permits in our jurisdiction done in one month and had the system installed and ready for final inspections by 60 days, way exceeding our expectations. The Unity Electrical Service team that did the installation was prompt and very efficient as well. Monitoring of the system is very straightforward, and our system is producing tons of power. Highly recommend.

SO(LAR) SO(LAR) SO(LAR) AMAZING! Smart Solar Energy turned this tin-foiled hat guy into a solar superstar. Every team member I've come across is professional, timely, clear, and full of integrity when it comes to this business. I felt cared for all along the way, and am so happy with the venture I made in going solar. Let me be clear, I thought solar was a a weird pyramid scheme for the longest time, but Smart Solar Energy broke it down to me as clear as a sunny day and made me see the full benefits of going solar not just for my monthly bills, but also my overall home value. Excellent work and experience with Smart Solar
We just had solar installed by Smart Solar and the process couldn't have been more seamless. The communication was great, everyone showed up when they were supposed to, and everyone was incredibly helpful, responsive and kind whenever we had questions.
